Santa's Visit Update
Posted: December 20, 2011

Monarch Firefighter/Paramedics have updated us on Santa's visit to our neighborhood.

Due to the possibility of rain and thunderstorms tonight Santa has come up with a alternate plan. This alternate plan will be used if its raining at 5 PM. Santa will then come to Monarch Fire Station 1 and will be around back inside the engine bay. Santa will be there from 5-8PM tonight only if its raining. All are welcome to come at any time. If your unsure about whether Santa is coming to the neighborhood or the fire station. There will still be someone at the Santa stop at the original arrival time to let you know. But if you don't hear the sirens and its raining outside Santa will be at Monarch Fire Station 1 located at 15700 Baxter Road, Chesterfield, MO 63017. Hope to see everyone tonight. Any questions please contact Shane Bruder @ 636-262-6468.

Baxter Road project schedule change
Posted: September 18, 2011

Country Field
Posted: September 18, 2011

The installation of curbing (pictured below) on Baxter Road at Country Field Drive is the latest step before paving the new west lanes of Baxter Road may begin. Once that paving is complete, it will be possible to once again use Country Field Drive as an entry / exit to Meadowbrook Farm. When that milestone is reached, the county DOT crews and contractors will close Country Ridge Drive at the west lanes of Baxter Road (currently scheduled for 9/19/2011), which will allow lowering of the west half of the intersection.

Country Ridge & Baxter Intersection
Posted: September 6, 2011

The initial plan for the Baxter Road Realignment Project had a schedule to lower the Country Ridge & Baxter intersection during a 3 month closure of Baxter in the spring of 2012 -- that plan has changed.

First will be laying permanent blacktop pavement on the west side of Baxter at the start of construction on the Clarkson road end near Country Field Drive - this will allow the reopening of Country Field.

Prep work for lowering the Country Ridge & Baxter intersection is already underway (see picture below) - with the 9/14/2011 scheduled closure of Country Ridge at the west lane of Baxter Road not far behind. The lowering of the west side of Baxter is estimated to require 6-7 weeks to complete.

Then Baxter traffic will be moved to the west side of Baxter allowing the east side to be lowered.. See the website documents page and the file Baxter Road Notes - 8/29/2011 for more details. Stay tuned . . .

Country Field Progress
Posted: August 13, 2011

As we're all aware, Country Field was closed on 7/18 so its segment between Long Gate and Baxter could be re-graded and rebuilt.

That construction has been completed (see the pictures below) - however for now, CF cannot be used, as its connection to Baxter is just dirt at the current time.

The priority work on Baxter at the moment is installation of storm sewers - this must be complete before any Baxter Road re-construction can continue.
